The best thing about working here is:

Being able to introduce youth to the outdoors which allows space for creating deep human connections, growth, and building a strong community.  It is also so much fun!

When we’re not working, we’re:

Mountain biking, running, hiking,  channeling our inner Great British Bake Off,  brunching and photography

What we’re reading:

Lord of the Rings, Beats of Extraordinary Circumstances, The Magicians, Brene Brown, Tribe of Mentors, The Nature Fix, The Power of Habit.

What we’re listening to:

Music: Top hits (need to stay relevant!), country, and folk. Podcasts: She Explores, Wait wait, Don’t Tell Me, MBMBAM, The Dream

If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:

Snack to the Future

Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:

We want our programs and positions to be welcoming, available to all those you want it, and reflect all backgrounds of society. We don’t want to further perpetuate marginalization in the outdoor industry.

Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:

Adventure Treks will be represented by more backgrounds and perspectives, we’ve looked at specific avenues to open up access for students and staff, and we’ve created a mission and effort that includes DE&I and it’s practices.
