The Culture
The best thing about working at Eagle Creek is:
The people! Our brand purpose is “To Unlock The Wonders and Humanity of The Planet” and we truly live that. We have fun, support each other and inspire each other in work and in life.
When we’re not working, we’re:
Plotting our next adventure. Mapping a weekend bike ride, planning a thru hike of the PCT or booking tickets to go surfing in Ecuador (all true stories).
What we’re reading:
Minor Feelings, Cathy Park Hong; The Hobbit, Or There And Back Again, JRR Tolken; the Atlas Obscura travel blog
What we’re listening to:
Geeking out on obscure travel podcasts or curating the ultimate deep cut playlist on Spotify
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:
Adventure Always: The tale of a scrappy band of travelers navagiting the twists and truns of office life, adventuring whenever possible and creating new friendships along the way.
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:
Creating access and inclusion will lead to more protective initiatives for the environment, creation of a more vibrant outdoor community, innovation in product development, and overall betterment of our industry. We believe that everyone should have an equal chance to travel and spend time outdoors because in doing so, we are transformed as we see the world from new points of view.
Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:
Everyone will feel welcome in the outdoors, that barriers will have been greatly reduced, and that we will be celebrating a more inclusive and welcoming community of outdoor enthusiasts. As our collective awareness increases, five years from now we will have more diverse leaders in place and lifting up new voices will be common practice.
